Brief Character History
Abby was born on the day that her mother Ashley was to marry Brad Carlton. Brad and Ashley were thrilled with the healthy baby girl, and were devoted to her. Ashley had refused to name Abby's father initially, finally claiming it was her friend Christian. Brad adopted Abby as a baby, and Abby grew to be a precocious child. After Abby overhead that Victor Newman was her biological father, she was the one to tell him. Abby soon formed a strong bond with Victor, although it didn't lessen her love for Brad.
Although Brad initially won custody of Abby during their divorce, he returned her to Ashley, who took Abby with her when she left Genoa City to work in Hong Kong. Abby later returned to the United States with her mother, and although she continued to see Brad from time to time, they lived in Los Angeles where Ashley worked for Forrester Creations.
After a breakup with Ridge Forrester, Ashley and Abby moved to London. But in 2008 Ashley reunited with Victor Newman and moved in at the Newman Ranch with him. Abby soon followed.
