Longoria was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended Texas A&M, Kingsville where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. When she wasn't studying, Longoria participated in the university's theatre productions.

Longoria's role on The Young and the Restless was not her only foray into daytime television; she has previous appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful and General Hospital. In addition to her daytime credits, she has co-starred on Beverly Hills 90210 and guest starred on the pilot Slovan & Allen.

On the silver screen, Eva has appeared in One Hard Hit. She also co-starred in the film No Mother's Crying and had a featured role in Selena.

After leaving The Young and The Restless, Eva was an original cast member of the ABC show Desperate Housewives and became an award-winning superstar.

When she's not acting, Eva enjoys salsa dancing and participates in all sports.
