Born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, Frantz began performing at a young age. By the time she was 13 years old, she was performing The Star Spangled Banner at Detroit Pistons basketball games and other sporting events.
At age 16, Frantz left Michigan for New York City, where she landed numerous commercials. Soon she was chosen to do vocals for the television production of Bye, Bye Birdie, starring Jason Alexander and Vanessa Williams. She also appeared as Hermia in the New York Youth Theatre production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Frantz had just entered her freshman year at Marymount College in New York, as a theater major, when she won the role of Tiffany Thorne on the daytime drama Sunset Beach.
Frantz appeared in the feature films Jimmy Zip and Speedway Junky, Gus Van Sant's dark tale of runaway kids living on the streets of Las Vegas. She also filmed roles in the features Hack!, The Audition, Angst, Ed Gein: the Butcher of Plainfield and Donna on Demand. Additionally, she did voice work on the animated series Rugrats and The Wild Thornberrys, and taped a guest-starring role on That 70s Show.
An accomplished vocal performer and songwriter, Frantz's latest album, Anomaly, will be released on April 3, 2007, and she will soon kick off an international tour.
Animal welfare issues have always been close to her heart, and she was worked with PETA, Save the Horses, the Humane Society's Genesis Awards, Actors & Others for Animals, Tippi Hedren's Shambala Preserve and The Rescue Cat Association. She is also a supporter of the Pancreatic Cancer Society, Diabetes Society, and several organizations that help abused women and children.
When she is not working, Frantz enjoys writing poetry, composing music, attending concerts, skiing, playing softball and relaxing with her three rescued cats and two Chocolate Labrador retrievers, Lucy and Ethel.
