Genoa City Presence

Gloria Fisher (January 17th, 2005 to Present)

At a Glance

After an almost decade long hiatus from television, Judith Chapman returns to the small screen as the gold-digging Gloria Fisher.

Judith is a veteran of daytime television, having appeared in 5 other soaps in the mid 1970's to late 1980's. She guest starred in several primetime shows as well. In addition to her numerous television credits, Judith has also appeared in several films.

Judith, the daughter of a retired Air Force General, was born in Greenville, S.C., but spent most of her childhood living abroad. She began her acting career at the age of 14, working in commercials and "Spaghetti Westerns" while living in Spain. After graduating from Stephens College with a degree in theatre, she headed to New York, where she began working in commercials and theatre. Judith then joined the prestigious Actors' Studio.

After taking a break from acting to teach at College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California, Judith returned to acting and also began directing. She mounted the play "The Belle of Amherst," based on the life of Emily Dickinson, which she successfully toured throughout the United States. She also directed "Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical," "Equus," and "Born Yesterday," and performed in "Sordid Lives," Orson's Shadow" and "Blythe Spirit."

Judith lives in Palm Springs, California with her life partner James. The owner of St. James Restaurant in Palm Springs, Judith enjoys teaching yoga. She is also a world traveler, having visited many exotic locations, including India, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
