Emmy Award winning Tricia Cast (Nina Webster) has finally ended the speculation about when and why she will depart The Young and the Restless.
In an official statement, Cast's camp says, "Tricia has decided to take a sabbatical from Hollywood for an indefinite period of time. She is looking forward to spending some quality time with her new husband in Tennessee."
Cast joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in 1986 as a pregnant teenager whose baby was illegally sold by Rose DeVille on the black market.
Since that time, Cast has certainly played a full slate. Her character unwittingly married a serial killer and more recently became an aspiring writer.
Cast, who won a Daytime Emmy as Younger Leading Actress in 1992, will last air on February 1st. Cast's onscreen love, Francesco Quinn (Tomas), will also be leaving town.
