What happened during the week of October 13, 2014

Eric made it apparent that he preferred a couple to lead Forrester in his stead. Ridge admitted to Caroline that he had feelings for her, and Caroline thought she deserved a scarlet letter for kissing him. Ridge told Katie that Caroline had a crush on him, and Katie advised him to stop using Caroline before someone got hurt. Ridge was startled when he thought of Caroline while kissing Katie. Deacon introduced Quinn to Hope as the new woman in his life, and Hope told him that if he was with Quinn, then he had to stay out of Hope's life, too. Liam and Ivy grew closer during a romantic evening at his house.

What happened during the week of October 13, 2014

Many residents of Salem were shocked to learn of E.J.'s death. Stefano had E.J.'s body removed from the morgue. Chad was overcome with grief and remorse about E.J.'s death. Sami's family stood by her and the kids during her time of need. Sami broke down when she thought E.J.'s ashes had arrived at the mansion. Kate worried about what would happen to her and Sami. Kate and Chad had to put their plot against Stefano on hold. Brady checked in on Kristen after E.J.'s death but then said his final goodbye to her. Eric and Nicole were upset with Daniel for meeting with Kristen. Theresa asked Brady if they could start over. Clyde had arranged for the police to find the evidence they needed to solve E.J.'s murder. Sami was not happy with Abe and Rafe's report. Clyde made another pass at Kate. Ciara was less than pleased that Hope and Aiden were dating. Kate warned Sami about news she had received. Ben told Abigail that he would be there for her. Paige told J.J. she was ready to make love to him but was shocked at his reaction.

What happened during the week of October 13, 2014

Sabrina confessed to Jordan that the pills Ava had been given induced labor, but Sabrina was careful to blame the mix-up on a clerical error. Jordan called to warn Ava not to take the pills, but it was too late because Ava was already in labor. Ava feared that Sonny's men would nab Ava if she went to the hospital, so Kiki decided to fetch Silas. Silas confronted Nina about her lies. Nina continued to try to cover her tracks by trying to blame Rosalie for everything, but Silas didn't believe Nina. Nina turned violent when Silas suggested that he and Nina visit Kevin Collins. Britt was plagued by a guilty conscience when she moved in with Nikolas and Spencer. Madeline returned to town to announce that she was a free woman thanks to her legal team. However, Madeline claimed that she was destitute because Nina had regained control of the family's fortune months earlier when Nina had emerged from the coma. Nathan didn't believe Madeline, but Madeline warned Nathan that Nina had always been a troubled soul and was dangerous. Madeline had an unexpected encounter with Nina. Patrick, Sam, and Tracy were shocked when Jerry Jacks showed up at a café in Amsterdam, claiming that Luke would be held hostage until Tracy turned over controlling shares of ELQ. Sonny decided to kill Franco then frame Heather Webber for the crime. Franco paid Heather a visit to invite Heather to the wedding. Helena managed to remove the files from CODIS before Dante could match Jake Doe's fingerprints to Jason. Sabrina told Michael that Carlos had not killed A.J.

Devon and Hilary continued their affair in New York, and they were stunned when Neil showed up, with Cane's help, to surprise Hilary. Someone left behind a cell phone in the hotel bed. Cane was resentful that Devon had put him in the position of lying to Lily and Neil. Dr. Botnik requested that Michael make another appointment. Sharon decided to see a psychic to try to get to the bottom of her secret. Chloe returned to town for the anniversary of Delia's death, and she told Kevin that her future didn't include him, but she kept her pregnancy a secret. Billy told Chelsea that he loved her. A mysterious man placed a calla lily at Delia's memorial. Victor informed Mariah that her claim that Nick hadn't fathered Faith was false. Ian contacted Nikki, who moved into the Athletic Club as part of the plan to lure Ian out of hiding. Paul was in Nikki's room when Maureen stopped by with a bottle of vodka. Dylan revealed that there was a secret trap door at the club. Kelly was devastated when she realized that the engagement ring in Jack's office wasn't for her. Jack took Phyllis home from the hospital, but he hesitated to divulge the major events that had occurred while she had been comatose. Phyllis reacted badly when Summer claimed that she and Austin were engaged. Victor revealed that he'd been behind getting the experimental treatment that had allowed Phyllis to wake up.
