It's time again for the holiday parades. CBS kicks off Thanksgiving this year with a broadcast of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade from New York City. As in years past, a handful of soap stars will drop by to talk to the parade's hosts.
This year's edition of The Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS will again feature some familiar faces from the CBS Daytime lineup.
Jessica Leccia (Natalia Rivera, Guiding Light) and
Julie Pinson (Janet Ciccone, As The World Turns) will drop by to chat with parade hosts Dave Price and Maggie Rodriguez, both of CBS News' The Early Show.
Also featured during the three-hour telecast will be stars from Broadway and the pop charts. American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken (currently in the Broadway production of
Monty Python's Spamalot), country duo Sugarland, and the Broadway casts of
Mary Poppins and
Grease, are all expected to make appearances during the parade.
The special, a CBS Thanksgiving tradition celebrating its 48th year, will feature the 82nd annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade live from New York City. It will be broadcast 9:00a.m. to Noon, live ET; 8:00-11:00a.m., live CT; 7:00-10:00 AM, live MT; 1:00-4:00p.m., delayed PT (following CBS's NFL football coverage).
