In what is seen as a surprise,
Liza Huber (ex
Gwen Hotckiss) will be returning to Passions later this year .
As previously reported,
Natalie Zea (
Gwen Hotckiss) decided not to renew her contract with Passions. Zea assumed the role from Huber in November 2000. Huber announced in October 2000 that she wanted out of show business. Huber, the daughter of soap diva Susan Lucci (Erica Kane, All My Children) also prepared for some changes in her personal life - a wedding to boyfriend Robert Falk. The wedding was later called off.
It is unclear what prompted Huber to consider a return to the show. Last year, Huber's name was bandied about as a possible candidate for
All My Children's
Kendall Hart, a role previously played by Emmy winner Sarah Michelle Gellar. Kendall is the on-screen daughter of Huber's mother's character.
Huber's first return airdate is October 3rd.
