At a Glance
The youngest of seven children, Ty was born in Trenton, New Jersey. He attended Rider University on an athletic scholarship and later transferred to the College of New Jersey, where he graduated with a degree in accounting.
While working for the New Jersey State Legislature as an accountant and a computer systems engineer, Ty competed in and won the "Mr. Natural Pennsylvania" bodybuilding title. He subsequently moved to New York to pursue a modeling and acting career, appearing in GQ magazine, and working in both theater and commercials.
Ty then headed west to Hollywood, where he landed roles on the television series Just Shoot Me and Ally McBeal. He also worked in several independent films and is currently co-producing and starring in Or Forever Hold Your Peace, a dark comedy about friendship, family, and religion.
In addition to his work on the soaps, Treadway hosted the cable talk show, Soap Talk. In 2007, Treadway was the emcee of the game show Merv Griffin's Crosswords.
