The actor was hired to play the role of a doctor who figures prominently into the show's Sweeps storylines. Martinez has appeared on General Hospital, One Life to Live, and Santa Barbara.

January 2011 TV talker Wendy Williams to guest on One Life to Live Author and radio-turned-television host Wendy Williams will appear on One Life to Live in March. Williams will play a fictional Llanview TV personality.

February 2011 Kamar de los Reyes to star in Firehouse Beginning February 4, Kamar de los Reyes, OLTL's ex-Antonio Vega, will star in the new play, Firehouse, written by the award-winning playwright Pedro Antonio Garcia.

February 2011 Kamar de los Reyes to star in Firehouse One Life to Live will celebrate Valentine's Day with the release of love songs. This is the second time in under a year that stars of the ABC soap have hit the recording studio.

February 2011 Kim Zimmer to explore Love, Loss Kim Zimmer has joined the all-star cast of Love, Loss, and What I Wore. The production looks at the memories that can be sparked by items of clothing or accessories. Zimmer's appearance in Love, Loss runs from February 16 to March 20.

March 2011 Brian Kerwin out at OLTL Brian Kerwin is reportedly out as One Life to Live's Charlie Banks. A show rep had no comment on the actor's status with the show. The actor joined the show in 2007.

March 2011 Susan Haskell out at One Life to Live Susan Haskell will be exiting One Life to Live in the coming weeks. The two-time Emmy winner has been let go from the show. Haskell originated the role of Marty Saybrooke in 1992.

June 2011 Amanda Setton's Kimberly is returning to Llanview Amanda Setton is headed back to One Life to Live. The Gossip Girl actress debuted on OLTL in 2009, but exited just a year later. Setton makes her OLTL return in August.

June 2011 OLTL to "press on" without Trevor St. John Llanview will soon be without one of its two Todd Mannings. Trevor St. John has announced that he will tape his final scenes on One Life to Live in July. St. John joined OLTL in 2003.

June 2011 Erin Torpey to return to One Life to Live Erin Torpey will return to One Life to Live in September to honor the show that became her second home during her 13-year run as Jessica Buchanan. But who will the Emmy-nominated actress be playing when she returns?

July 2011 Jason Tam makes an OLTL premiere Jason Tam will reprise the role of Markko Rivera later this month. Tam, who joined OLTL in 2007, last appeared on the show in April.

July 2011 Andrea Evans, John Loprieno headed back to Llanview Andrea Evans and John Loprieno will reprise their roles as Tina and Cord in September. The pair last appeared together on-screen in 2008. Evans originated the role of Tina in 1978. Loprieno first appeared as Cord in 1986.

July 2011 Web-bound One Life to Live could be homeless The show will go on for One Life to Live -- but it may have to go on in a new location. ABC has reportedly already given away OLTL's Manhattan studio space to Katie Couric. There are, however, reports about where OLTL could settle down.

August 2011 David Fumero to make early OLTL exit David Fumero will apparently not be around for One Life to Live's ABC finale in January. The actor has taped his final scenes, and his character, Cristian Vega, will be written out later this year.

September 2011 Four One Life to Live actors sign with Prospect Park One Life to Live's network television finale is still several months away, but several of the show's stars have already signed on to appear in the web-based version of the show. Prospect Park announced the casting news in a statement.

November 2011 Brandon Buddy out, OLTL forced to recast Cole Brandon Buddy's planned return to One Life to Live has been scrapped, according to a published report. The actor taped an episode, but was unable to continue, and the show has been forced to recast the role.

November 2011 More OLTL stars headed to the Internet A total of 13 One Life to Live stars have now signed on for the Internet version of One Life to Live, planned for a 2012 launch on Prospect Park's online entertainment channel.
