January 2005 Higley To Get "Help" from Award-Winning Writing Team One Life to Live has brought in some familiar names to help recently-appointed head writer Dena Higley as she pens the show's future plots and storylines. ABC announced that it has hired the writing team of James Harmon Brown and Barbara Esensten to serve as consultants on One Live to Live.

April 2005 Hogan Sheffer Headed to OLTL? The announcement that three-time Emmy winner Hogan Sheffer was no longer the head writer of CBS's As the World Turns took many by surprise. nd as expected, rival networks are said to already be actively courting the scribe. The most popular rumor hints that ABC wants to hire Sheffer to take over head writing duties for One Live to Live, which, ironically, airs in the same timeslot as As the World Turns.

May 2005 Archer Contract Talks Ongoing There is still an air of uncertainty surrounding Melissa Archer's (Natalie Vega) future with One Life to Live. As of post time, the actress still had not signed her name to a new contract with the ABC soap.

July 2005 Fumero Returning to OLTL David Fumero (Cristian Vega) has signed on to return to One Life to Live. Fumero joined the cast of One Life to Live in June 1998 and, despite frequent mention of wanting to exit the show, remained with the ABC soap through October 2003.

July 2005 Y&R Confirms Return of Kimberlin Brown It's official - Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter) will be reprising her Emmy-nominated role on The Young and the Restless. The actress heads back to Genoa City later this summer.

July 2005 Tony Winner Huffman Cast as OLTL's Paige The search for One Life to Live's new Paige has concluded. Though several daytime vets reportedly auditioned for the role, the show's casting department turned to the Great White Way and offered the role to a Tony Award winner.

August 2005 Clint Back at OLTL, But Not "Clint" As widely speculated, Clint Buchanan will make his return to the One Life to Live canvas later this year as a love interest Victoria Davidson (played by Emmy winner Erika Slezak). Long-time fans may, however, be disappointed that when Clint returns to the show he will not be played by a well-liked performer.

September 2005 Jerry ver Dorn To Light Up OLTL as Clint Multiple Emmy winner Jerry ver Dorn (Ross Marler, Guiding Light) will join the cast next month in the role of Clint. Veteran daytime star Clint Ritchie is best known as OLTL's Clint, having been seen in the role from 1979 to December 1998.

September 2005 No Fond Farewell For ver Dorn As previously reported by soapcentral.com, Jerry ver Dorn (Ross Marler) will exit Guiding Light in October, leaving behind a show that he's called home for 26 years.
