Henry "Romeo" Jones (July 24, 2001 to June 17, 2002)
At A Glance

Oliver Macready joined Guiding Light in 2001 as mobster Romeo Jones. Oliver, whose parents and grandparents were actors, originally planed to be teacher and received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Northern Arizona University. However, after a stint as a student teacher, he decided to pursue acting. Following that decision, he trained at Howard Fine and studied acting further with Lesly Kahn. Since then, he's appeared in feature films and television.

Oliver, whose brother John Macready was on the 1996 Olympics U.S. gymnastics team, is also a former gymnast. Oliver followed in his mother's footsteps when he landed his Guiding Light role; Pamela Murphy was a soap actress.

He is an avid sports fan, and enjoys good food and travel as well.
