Grant Aleksander (Phillip) is said to be telling friends that he is leaving the soap when his contract expires in March. Aleksander has left the show on two previous occasions.

Aleksander reportedly has been frustrated with his character's direction of late. The final straw, say sources, was the show's decision to take his on-screen adoptive dad, Ron Raines (Alan) off contract - a move that did not sit well with the Daytime Emmy nominee.
