After months of seeing its big stars exit for other shows, Guiding Light has some big casting news of its own. Four-time Emmy nominated actor Grant Aleksander will return to the show in 2009. Before leaving in 2004, the actor had played the role of Phillip Spaulding for nearly 15 years. In between GL gigs, Aleksander also appeared on All My Children.

What is your reaction to the news that Grant Aleksander will return to GL?
» The story: Aleksander to reprise role as GL's Phillip

I'm overjoyed. This is incredible news and I can't wait until January!
I'm glad Phillip is returning, but I was hoping the role would be recast.
I never really cared for Phillip, so I'm disappointed that he's returning.
I'm a newer viewer and not really familiar with Phillip Spaulding.
I think it might have been fun for Grant to have played a new role on GL.
This is great news, but I'm really worried that it comes with a 'but...'
I have no opinion about the return of Aleksander or Phillip at this time.
