Guiding Light vet Bradley Cole joining GH

Guiding Light vet Bradley Cole has been hired for the role of Keifer's father on General Hospital. Will Keifer have to answer to his father for his behavior -- or is it a case of the apple not falling far from the tree? Cole begins airing next month.
Bradley Cole will join the cast of General Hospital next month in the role of Warren Bauer, Keifer's father. The character's name was originally slated to be Carlton Bauer, but the show decided to make a last-minute change.
Cole is best-known to daytime viewers for his two roles on CBS's Guiding Light. From June 1999 through July 2002, Cole played
Richard Winslow. The actor returned to Springfield the following year, but in a new role:
Jeffrey O'Neill. Cole remained with the show through its conclusion in September 2009.
In addition to his work on Guiding Light, Cole appeared briefly as Jordan Roberts on All My Children.
Cole also has an extensive roster of stage appearances, including roles in productions of
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
An exact first airdate has not yet been announced, but expect to see Cole in mid-March. The role is short-term.
In related news, Lisa Waltz will play Melinda Bauer, Kiefer’s mom. She'll also first air in March.
