Sarah Webber Returning to Port Charles

Despite a statement by a General Hospital spokesperson last month to the contrary,
soapcentral
.com has learned that Elizabeth's sister,
Sarah Weber, will be returning to Port Charles as an intern at General Hospital.
Online rumors had hinted that the show was thinking of bringing Sarah back to the show for at least the past month. Several soap magazines had reported on the return possibilities as long ago as last summer.
When Sarah was last spotted in Port Charles in June 1998, actress Jennifer Sky was in the role. Sky had only been in the part for about a year before her run was cut short. Sarah and Elizabeth headed to Europe to visit their parents, but only Elizabeth returned to Port Charles.
This time around, Sarah will be played by newcomer Sarah Laine. This will be Laine's first venture into daytime acting.
Laine's previous acting credits include a role as a partygoer in the film American Pie 2 and a guest spot in ABC's comedy hit Spin City. Outside of the acting field, Laine has served as a makeup artist in the film Leading with the Right .
Laine's first airdate is January 29th.
