Emily finally ends things with Juan and admits her true feelings for Zander. Alan and Monica send Emily to boarding school in California in an attempt to protect her from Zander and Sorel. Chloe undergoes her final procedure so that her sight can be permanently restored and she can be free of her realistic nightmares. Sonny and Carly admit their love to one another as Sonny continues his recovery at General Hospital. Hannah and Taggert break up because they disagree about Sonny's role in the shooting. Bobbie continues to investigate Roy's past with Melissa, which causes her to be untruthful to Roy. Felicia is briefly held by Sorel and his men, but Mac comes to her rescue and Sorel is arrested. Zander's testimony is beneficial and Sorel is indicted.

Gia and Carly disrupt Liz's test shoot for Deception, but Lucky manages to take a few good shots of his girlfriend when the photographer leaves the room. Jason returns to town and stays at Liz's studio, but Liz must keep this a secret from Lucky. Nikolas and Gia share a passionate kiss. Sonny and Carly agree to renew their wedding vows. Ned and Alexis discuss getting back together. Bobbie meets Melissa in Chicago, but is not convinced that everything is as Melissa says it is. Roy attempts to keep Melissa a secret from Bobbie.

Roy discovers that Bobbie has been lying to him about Melissa, which prompts him to make a trip to Chicago to visit his former lover. Lucky tells Liz about the photos he took of Gia. After arguing, the two make up and agree never to lie to each other again. Meanwhile, Jason continues to hide at Liz's studio. Carly and Sonny discuss their impending wedding, but a chat on the docks is interrupted when shots are fired at them. Luke returns from Istanbul and immediately contacts Felicia. Felicia cautions Mac that she will be spending a lot of time with Luke now that he is back in town. The mayor praises Mac for apprehending the Christmas Shooter. Emily begins her first week at Kelly's. Juan is disappointed in Emily's behavior and mulls over an offer to tour in Puerto Rico. Ned and Alexis are again at odds over their failed relationship.

Once in the Caribbean, Carly is not convinced by Sonny's assertions that he does not love her. Sonny finally agrees that he loves his wife and proceeds with the remarriage. At Winterfest, Ned and Alexis are again at odds. Hannah and AJ enjoy the festivities. Gia overhears Laura tell Elizabeth and Lucky that because Carly will not return her phone calls, she has chosen Liz as the new Face of Deception. Gia tells Nikolas that she plans to return to Columbia. Nikolas lashes out at his mother for her decision. Lucky asks Elizabeth not to see Jason again. Liz agrees, but when she goes to Jake's to inform Jason of her decision, Lucky sees her. Luke and Felicia sneak aboard Helena's yacht to try to track down the key to the safety deposit box.

Melissa moves to Port Charles and takes a position at General Hospital, which upsets Bobbie. In Istanbul, Luke discovers that the Ice Princess is not in the safety deposit box. He and Roy manage to escape with some CDs, however. Laura approaches Sonny about backing out of Deception after Carly locked her on the roof at the launch party. Sonny refuses to do so. Carly and Gia plot to determine a way to make Gia the next Face of Deception. Carly interrupts Liz's photo shoot, sending Liz running to Jason instead of Lucky. Jason rescues Zander from Sorel's men. Mac declines Felicia's offer to restart their private investigation business. Ned and Chloe agree to meet on the docks in two years and begin dating if neither has found a love interest by that time.

Monica signs the release form for her biopsy surgery, but misplaces it. Emily discovers it and confronts her mother, who has only told Bobbie about her health problems. Under the influence of Helena's brainwashing, Lucky pulls a knife on Jason. Jason beats him up in self-defense, but Elizabeth only sees her friend attacking her boyfriend. Liz tells Jason that she wants nothing more to do with him. Luke continues to work on decoding the CDs he procured in Istanbul, which causes him to spend more time with Laura. Felicia is unsure of what this means. Sonny is concerned about his family's safety and screams at Jason to get on top of the Sorel and Zander situations regardless of Jason's other problems. Carly is worried about her husband and her family. Ned makes yet another attempt to reunite with Alexis. They agree to compromise. Roy and Bobbie discuss Melissa's living situation and agree that it is fine for Roy's ex-girlfriend to remain in Port Charles.

Carly and Roy work to have Sonny arrested by the FBI. Sonny gets out on bail and asks Mike how someone can betray the one he or she loves the most. After making love to Carly, Sonny tells his wife that he knows she was responsible for setting him up. Stefan professes his love to Chloe. In some strange effort to counteract Helena's brainwashing, Lucky asks Elizabeth to marry him. After shopping for engagement rings and seeing many diamonds, Lucky races to the hospital and prepares to jump off the roof. Lucas slips into a coma and Luke suspects that Helena poisoned him. Tony is accosted by Helena and her minions and taken to an underground room. Felicia waffles between Luke, who admits that he does not love her, and Mac, who declares his undying love for her. Edward reveals that he knew Rae's baby was taken from her. Monica demands that Skye take a paternity test. Skye plots to do something to the Quartermaine family. In Canada, Zander is very disappointed that Emily lied to him. The two do not reconcile.

Tony reluctantly agrees to help Helena revive Stavros in exchange for a serum that brings Lucas out of his coma. Sonny tells Carly that he knows she is the one who betrayed him and orders her to leave the penthouse. After many pleas begging Sonny to forgive her, Carly takes Michael and disappears. Elizabeth and Nikolas discover Lucky's boxcar shrine. Lucky presents Liz with an engagement ring given to him by Helena. The ring was the same ring that Stavros gave to Laura many years ago. Zander and Emily reconcile and the young girl agrees to move back into her family's home. The Quartermaines attempt to adjust to having Rae and Skye around.

A furious Sonny told Bobbie that Carly and Roy had betrayed him by trying to cut him a deal with the FBI. Luke was confused when the vial containing Lucas' virus vanished. Helena met with Stavros and remained optimistic about his possible resurrection. Luke told Laura that the ring Lucky had given to Liz was the same ring that Stavros had given to her (Laura). Luke revealed that he'd decoded one of Helena's disks before his computer had been destroyed.

A mysterious woman by the name of Angel brings Sonny to her home and treats his wound. Roy helps Melissa after she drinks too much at Jake's. After discussing things with Felicia, Bobbie decides to talk to Roy, but finds a freshly showered, towel-clad Melissa at his apartment. Elizabeth urges Lucky to seek treatment for his condition and he agrees to do so. Luke and Laura continue to work on decoding the encrypted discs, but this stirs up uncomfortable memories for Laura. Luke asks Felicia to give him space and time to confront Helena. Stavros comes to life. Monica discusses sex and birth control with Emily after catching Em and Zander kissing on the patio. Gia and Elizabeth collaborate to help Lucky.

Angel continues to care for Sonny while Carly mourns for her husband. While Angel is in town one day, Carly backs her car into Angel's. Mike urges his son to contact Carly. Emily and Zander make plans to leave town using Skye's money, but a train crashes into their bus and Emily is rushed to the hospital. Emily cannot feel her legs because of swelling in her spinal cord. Zander decides to go after Sorel despite Alexis' attempts to stop him. The Nurses Ball is interrupted when patients from the crash flood the emergency room. The men of Port Charles substitute for the nurses at the Ball, with Edward Quartermaine singing the lead in a rendition of "The Shoop Shoop Song." Lucky, Nikolas, and Gia perform "Up on the Roof" and Felicia and Luke sing "Old Time Rock and Roll." Stavros lurks in the hospital, listening to his son tell Laura how much he hates his father. Lucky berates Helena in front of his father. Helena gives Stavros a vile containing a deadly biotoxin, which he carries with him everywhere.

Carly goes to Angel's about being charged with driving without a license after their fender bender. After Carly postures a bit, she warms up to Angel and levels with her about her life and how it's falling apart. Stavros eavesdrops on Stefan and Chloe. Alexis asks Laura to let Carly back in the business. Emily's condition stays the same. Mike finds Sonny's wedding ring on Angel's porch and almost tells Carly. Bobby advises Carly to file for divorce. Chloe has dinner with Stavros. Nikolas considers going back to his family with Luke's help. Gia meets Stavros. Scott takes Laura to Hollywood to make a movie. Luke assaults Nikolas as planned with Helena and Stavros nearby. Angel falls in the mud and Sonny rescues her. Melissa uncovers an unusual delivery to GH then gets stuck in the freight elevator with Roy while they investigate. They are baffled when the elevator goes down. Emily moves her leg for the first time since the accident.

Luke uses a blowtorch to find out what's under the elevator but Tony tries to stop him. Gia runs into Helena again. Stavros corners Gia. Alexis tells Carli AJ has filed another petition for custody and that she may have to bring Michael back. Emily asks why Zander has a gun. AJ torments Skye and Carly torments AJ Shedaisy performs at the picnic. Carly meets Stavros and fends off his advances. Zander saves Emily when one of her guards pulls a gun. Alexis and Ned still can't get along. Mike visits Sonny. Sorel escapes the police again and turns up at Sonny's.

Carly flings herself at Sorel to save Zander. Laura is freaked out by "souvenirs" Stavros left for her. Sonny arrives at the penthouse just in time.

Lucky sits in Luke's apartment feeling guilty for injecting his father with Helena's serum. When Elizabeth visits him, Lucky sends her away and rejects the plans that they made to be married. Nikolas ends his relationship with Gia. In retaliation, Gia makes a date with "Lucien Kane." Felicia finds Luke in an alley and reaches out to him, but the serum causes him to belittle and humiliate her. Mac approaches them and Felicia leaves with her ex-husband after kicking Luke in anger. Angel, Sonny, and Carly all attempt to come to terms with Carly's possible pregnancy. However, both a home test and a test at the hospital reveal that Carly is not with child. The Quartermaines continue to bicker about whether or not Skye has the family's best interests at heart. Skye agrees to help AJ regain custody of Michael. Sorel hands Angel a note that reads, "Traitor."

Felicia finds Luke in a dark alley. Affected by Helena's serum, Luke's personality splits and the mean-spirited side of him rejects his lover. However, the other side of Luke waits in the shadows wherever he goes and instructs the mean side to act cautiously. At the Cassadine charity auction, Luke interrupts the proceedings and is arrested. Stavros lurks behind the scenes and attempts to convince his mother that Nikolas is lying about his return to the Cassadines. After Luke nearly blows their cover, Nikolas is forced to deny the truth to Gia. Stefan and Chloe grow closer as she tries to comfort him, which prompts Stefan to propose marriage. Alexis confronts Helena again. Roy and Melissa go camping, but decide to take their relationship slowly. Bobbie tells Sonny that Carly is not pregnant. Sonny learns that Angel is Sorel's daughter, but Angel claims that she is not working for her father. She tells Sorel that she can never forgive him for killing her husband. Jax appears at the auction and outbids Edward Quartermaine.

Sorel is murdered and everyone in Port Charles is a suspect. Melissa confides in Roy that she committed some type of sin; Alan does not care that Sorel died; Sonny appears to know everything about the crime; and Monica and AJ accuse each other of being at the hospital at inappropriate times. Jax's return to Port Charles prompts both Sonny and Ned to quiz him about Brenda. Jax claims that Brenda is gone and that he was falsely lured away by Stefan. Jax surprises Angel by showing up at her home. Chloe is disappointed by Stefan and turns down his marriage proposal. Nikolas and Elizabeth continue with their plan to keep Lucky safe. Nikolas shows his grandmother where Lucky has been hiding.

Jax asked Nikolas and Elizabeth to team up with him to fight Helena. A mystery woman waited for Jax in his hotel room. Carly was waiting at the police station to confront Sonny and Angel after they were hauled in for questioning by Taggert. Chloe and Ned overheard a conversation between Alexis and Jax. Chloe decided to leave Port Charles and head for Milan.

Nikolas continued to push Gia away. Alexis was surprised that Jax had been the one to find Kristina. Gia and Liz stole the Ice Princess from Helena. Chloe dreamt that Stavros killed Stefan. Later, Stavros walked in on Chloe after she figured out his true identity.

Alexis learns that Kristina is her sister. When the two meet, they share a touching reunion. Alexis tells her sister how Helena killed their mother with a stiletto. Lucky begins to listen to Elizabeth when she warns him about Helena's control. However, the two do not manage to recapture their romance despite their best efforts. In rage, Lucky throws the Ice Princess to the depths of the Port Charles lake. Stavros continues to lurk in the shadows, watching as Stefan, Ned, Alexis, and Jax mourn Chloe's death. When Laura returns to town, Stavros sends her roses and attempts to schedule an appointment with her, all under his guise of Lucien Kane. Liz tells Laura about Lucky's recent erratic behavior and cautions her against battling Helena. Carly sneaks into Angel's house and steals a roll of film. Carly is surprised to discover that Angel and Jax know one another. At Sorel's funeral, Angel reveals to Sonny that she is ready to start her life again...and she does so in a slinky red dress.

Stefan is arrested for Chloe's murder after a preliminary DNA test indicates that his blood was at the crime scene. Alexis and Laura stand by Stefan despite the rest of Port Charles hating him. Nikolas continues his charade in front of Helena, which includes berating his uncle. Stavros attempts to seduce Gia, but she denies him because she is still in love with Nikolas. Lucky confronts Stavros in Gia's room and is surprised that the Cassadine is not dead. Luke returns to town and leaves a cryptic message for Bobbie with Melissa. Bobbie tells Roy what the message means and he heads off to find Luke, followed secretly by Melissa. Carly hints to Sonny that Angel and Jax were once lovers. Sonny is not impressed and thwarts his wife's attempt to lure him into bed. Jax hides Kristina at Angel's lake house. When Alexis visits her sister, she discovers that Angel is an investigator who has worked for both Kristina and Jax.

Carly was furious when she was served with divorce papers and promptly tore up the documents. Helena ordered Nikolas to kill Elizabeth, saying that after Liz's death, Nikolas will be able to enjoy the Cassadine fortune.

Helena forces Nikolas to kill Elizabeth to finally prove that he is loyal to the Cassadines. Laura gives Liz drops that will make it appear as if Liz has died, but cautions her that if she ingests even one too many, she will really die. After an interruption by Lucky, Nikolas gives Liz the drops and her heart ceases to beat. Helena is proud of the Cassadine heir, but he is secretly worried that Elizabeth will never wake. Stavros finds a bound Lucky on the docks and pushes him into the water. Gia begins to wonder if there is something mysterious about Lucien Kane when she spies him on the docks with Helena. She tries to warn Lucky and Elizabeth about Nikolas' strange behavior, but Lucien assures her that he will take care of things. Roy and Melissa take Luke to the cabin in the woods so that he can stay safe until they determine what Helena has done to him. Luke has no memory of the past twenty years, but Roy, Laura, and Bobbie attempt to help him recapture his memory. Laura tells Alexis that she and Stefan believe Stavros is still alive. Later, Alexis overhears Stavros talking to Helena. Jax and Ned continue to protect Kristina. Jax discovers a syringe in Helena's hotel room. Sonny sues Carly for divorce, but she promises to tangle Sonny in legalese for the next thirty years if that is what it takes.

Sonny and Carly finally discuss their relationship rationally. Sonny promises to remain in Michael's life, but he reiterates to his wife that he wants a divorce. Both Sonny and Zander pressure AJ to relinquish all rights to Michael, threatening the Quartermaine with sudden death if he does not cooperate. Kristina accidentally reveals to Ned that she is Alexis' sister, which creates complications for Ned, Alexis, and Jax. Stefan escapes from prison with the assistance of Alexis, Laura, and Melissa. He locks Stavros in shackles and then demands that Helena give him access to the laboratory and the Cassadine fortune. The PCPD is called to Wyndemere, where Taggert discovers a bound Stavros. Nikolas and Gia attempt to reconcile after she learns the truth about his recent pretenses. Elizabeth is taken by boat to a remote island to escape Helena. A confused Luke repeatedly professes his love for Laura while Laura urges her ex-husband to remember the path to Helena's lab.

As Scott and Laura tried to patch things up, Luke showed up and interrupted them. A groggy Luke couldn't draw an accurate map to Helena's lab. Jax gave a vial of antidote to Tony. Helena told Nikolas that she wanted to "revive" Stavros. AJ signed over his paternal rights and found comfort from Skye. Carly was furious when Sonny asked to adopt Michael, but refused to call off their divorce. Bobbie urged her daughter to sign the divorce papers. Skye warned that she would expose Edward's whereabouts on the night that Sorel was killed. Felicia plotted to expose Sorel's murderer. Mac gathered the suspects in Sorel's murder together - and he received multiple confessions.

Following Mac's meeting with all of the suspects in Sorel's murder, Angel admits to Sonny that she killed her father. Sonny, Carly, and Jax scheme to get Angel out of town quickly, which necessitates Sonny and Carly sharing several passionate kisses. Skye pressures Jax to collaborate with her to bring down Sonny. At the airport, a mysterious woman named Janine approaches Jax with a phony story about the Quartermaines. She later appears at the mansion and hugs Edward fondly. Gia spies a photograph of Stavros with Nikolas and finally determines that Stavros and Lucien Cane are the same person. She attempts to warn Mac, but he does not listen to her. Jax, however, is all ears. Stavros is not impressed by Helena's offer to program Nikolas to love his father. Scotty vows to stand by Laura despite whatever danger is involved. Lucky and Nikolas argue about family devotion. Melissa and Roy make love.

Sonny and Carly travel to Martinique to get a quick divorce, but both admit that they have residual feelings for the other. Helena kidnaps Alexis and Bobbie. Luke regains his memory and attempts to remember the path to Helena's basement laboratory. Jax tries to keep an eye on Alexis, but he is continually thwarted by Helena and a pesky Skye. Janine admits to Skye that her story is false, but Edward is still afraid of what she might do. He enlists AJ to help him ensure that Janine does not approach Lila. Meanwhile, AJ and Skye continue to work together. Laura and Nikolas assure Lucky that he is out of danger. They then locate Helena's lab, where they are met by Stavros. After alerting Nikolas that his father goes by the name Lucien Cain, Gia disappears. Kristina and Ned grow closer.

In Martinique, Sonny and Carly admit that they still love one another. Carly, however, signs the divorce papers because she feels that Sonny will never be able to accept that she makes mistakes on a routine basis. Janine continues to irritate Edward, although she does not play by Skye's rules. The con woman confesses to Skye that she is seeking money to help her daughter. Kristina and Ned share their concern for Alexis's safety as Kristina sifts through some of her sister's mementoes. Alexis, Stefan, Bobbie, Luke, Laura, Roy, Scott, Jax, Nikolas, Gia, and Lucky are all trapped in Helena's underground laboratory. Unfortunately for Helena, Lucky is able to resist the Ice Princess and he and his brother launch a successful attempt against Helena's henchmen. Laura is not moved by Stavros' attempts to reconcile and she rushes to help Luke. Stavros helps his son and Gia out of the lab. When a failsafe alarm alerts everyone that the maze will soon explode, they rush to find safety. All of Helena's captives manage to escape except Luke. Mac places Helena under arrest. Inside the maze, Luke and Stavros battle again. Luke manages to push Stavros over a black hole. Laughing, Stavros willingly lets go of the hole's edge and falls into darkness. Luke finally emerges from the lab and rushes straight to Laura.

Skye uses Jax's money to pay Janine to remain in town. Tired of the family arguing, Alan gives Skye his shares of ELQ stock. Mike and Janine know one another, but they do not appear happy to be reunited. Kristina attempts to help Edward persuade Janine to leave town, but their plan is thwarted when Ned and Skye arrive at the Port Charles Hotel. Sonny spends the night on Alexis's sofa, which angers Carly. Scotty asks Laura to marry him, but Laura still has ties to the past. Her divorce with Luke becomes final. On the twentieth anniversary of their wedding, Luke and Laura recall the past. Luke and Felicia part ways.

Carly felt that Sonny's decision to side with Alexis was a sign that he would never again trust her. Carly turned to Jax with a business proposition, but Jax accused Carly of trying to use him to make Sonny jealous. Nikolas proposed to Gia and she accepted. Stefan appeared concerned by their engagement, though everyone else was happy for them. Rae and Skye's presence at the Quartermaine Thanksgiving table caused all kinds of troubles and the clan was eventually forced to order pizza for dinner. Bobbie and Scott were arrested on Thanksgiving Day for speeding in a school zone. Laura asked Scott to stay at Bobbie's holiday dinner. During the dinner, Luke learned that Scott had asked Laura to marry him.

Alexis goes to Puerto Rico with Sonny, which troubles Kristina. Alexis's sister doubts Sonny's intentions and senses that he still has ties to Carly. Carly and Zander grow closer, although Zander makes a call letting someone know that he has found the perfect way to stay close to Carly. Laura turns down Scott's proposal, but assures him that she still loves him and wants to spend time with him. Laura has trouble figuring out what she feels about her past relationship with Luke. After sharing his feelings about his father with Gia, Nikolas helps Luke seal Stavros's "grave" with a hunk of metal. Skye stows away on Jax's plane only to get stuck in a small swamp town overnight. She becomes emotional when Jax calls her names and declares that there is a good reason her family hates her. Ned considers offering Kristina a job after he hears her singing at L&B.

Alexis goes to Puerto Rico with Sonny, where the mobster convinces her to loosen up and have some fun. After being welcomed into the Cassadine family by Stefan, Kristina visits Helena in jail. The redhead promises Helena that her mother is very much a part of her. Jax gives Skye his proxy for the next ELQ board meeting, which pleases her until she overhears the businessman making plans with Carly. Carly and Zander continue to enjoy a friendship. Nikolas and Gia celebrate their engagement plans with a party. Laura admits to Luke that she turned down Scott's proposal. The two share a loving glance at the engagement party. Meanwhile, Scott is brokenhearted by Laura's response. Janine agrees to meet with Sonny. AJ hints to Mike that Janine could cause trouble for him if she spends too much time with Sonny.

Luke contrives a phony "mission" to lure Laura back into a life of mystery and romance. At the last minute, Laura decides to play along and meets her ex-husband on a cruise ship. Alexis loosens up and has fun with Sonny in Puerto Rico, but the two return to Port Charles unexpectedly when Sonny learns that Carly is up to something. Mike has the chance to confess his secret about Janine to Sonny, but he does not take advantage of the situation. When Zander learns that AJ lied to Emily and that she found a new love in rehab, he lashes out and suddenly kisses Carly. The young man has difficulty letting go of the kiss, but Carly assures him that nothing has changed. Alexis and Ned stumble over their words on the anniversary of their wedding that never occurred. Kristina informs her sister that she plans to pursue a singing career with L&B. Lila convinces Monica to spend Christmas in Port Charles. The ELQ board meeting commences and Skye promises many surprises.

Skye used Tracy's proxy to help Jax win the vote demanding that ELQ go public. Rae was furious when she overheard Skye admit that she was using her to upset Monica. Alan asked that Rae stick around for the holidays. Zander found Courtney broken down on a back road. Janine attempted to prevent Courtney from telling Sonny that she is her daughter. Gia tried to play matchmaker by telling Kristina to go after Ned. Carly signed Michael's adoption papers without argument. Luke asked Laura to marry him, but Laura wasn't sure that Luke wanted to be married.

Sonny found out that Mike is Courtney's father. Sonny was upset, but Carly urged him to let Mike explain his side of the story. Zander talked Courtney into going back to Sonny's apartment. Janine wanted to leave Port Charles and take Courtney with her, but Sonny refused to let them leave. Alexis comforted Sonny, who was still unable to come to terms with the revelation. Edward appeared to suffer a heart attack and Melissa came to his aid. Edward drew up a new will and left everything to Lila and Melissa. Jax told Skye to run ELQ on her own. Lucky and Elizabeth set a New Year's Eve wedding date. Luke pressured Laura to re-marry him on New Year's Eve.

Gia tells Elizabeth that Lucky does not still love her, which causes Liz to cancel her wedding. Lucky is angered and accuses Nikolas of erasing his love for Elizabeth. Luke whisks Laura away to Beechers Corners, where he surprises her with memories of their wedding. He proposes again. Edward threatens to press charges against AJ, Skye, and Janine for blackmail and extortion. Sonny convinces Janine to stay in town so that he can get to know Courtney. Ned and Kristina share a kiss on New Years Eve. Melissa does not want to be a part of the Quartermaine issues and she begs Edward to release her from his will. Carly becomes testy when she learns that Zander has been keeping an eye on her for Sonny. Zander tries to convince his friend that he enjoys spending time with her.
