Brief Character History
When Colin met Jennifer, he was a doctor in Africa dealing with sick children. The two struck up a friendship, and Jennifer followed him to Ireland, taking Abby with her and leaving Jack behind. When they met again, Colin had come to America from Ireland and turned out to be Shawn's nephew, and he even brought his fiancée Elizabeth Cox with him! Unfortunately for Elizabeth, Colin was rather heavy-handed when he informed her that they were going to live in Salem. While Elizabeth enjoyed visiting in Salem, she wasn't from there, and couldn't imagine uprooting her whole life and moving to a place she's never been when all her family is over in the United Kingdom. Elizabeth eventually left Colin at the altar, and Colin turned to his more wicked ways. After helping the DiMeras in their quests, assisting in Hope's kidnapping, and attempting to blackmail most of Salem, Colin was murdered in January 2003 by Nicole Walker, and all of Salem rejoiced. The Salemnites learned he was alive and being held captive by Tony after the murders, but when they all attempted to escape the island, Colin was presumed dead.
