NBC has a special Christmas gift planned for Days of our Lives fans this year. American Idol runner-up and multi-platinum recording artist Clay Aiken will appear on the show in December to sing two of his hits.
In the special holiday episode planned for the last Days of our Lives episode before Christmas, Aiken will find himself stranded in the fictional town of Salem. When DAYS supercouple Patch and Kayla (portrayed by Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans) offer to help him catch a ride to the airport, the singer performs a special private concert for the pair.
Aiken, a self-professed Days of our Lives fan, will perform the holiday classic, "O, Holy Night" and "Everything I Have," a track off of his latest album, A Thousand Different Ways.
In 2003, Aiken's debut album Measure of a Man sold more than 3 million copies. The following year, Aiken released a holiday album, Merry Christmas with Love. His most recent release, A Thousand Different Ways, offers the artist's take on ten love songs released by other artists over the past three decades plus four original tunes.
Aiken makes his Days of our Lives appearance on Friday, December 22nd.
