Cedeno, Brandon written off by DAYS

Heartthrob Matt Cedeno (Brandon Walker) will be leaving Days of our Lives later this year.


According to a show source, DAYS has decided to trim its roster, and that meant wrapping up Cedeno's storyline and writing out the character. Internet rumors had hinted that Cedeno would be leaving the show for some time.


In February 2002, there were reports that Cedeno wanted to exit DAYS to pursue other ventures. The actor did, however, sign a contract extension, though the terms of the deal were never released.


Matt got really close with the cast, and he's going to miss that," says the actor's publicist. "But he's looking forward to new possibilities and opportunities that will come his way."


A spokesperson for Days of our Lives declined to comment on Cedeno's impending exit.


Cedeno will exit through the May Sweeps period, though an exact final airdate has not yet been announced.
