Eric Brady leaves Salem

Jensen Ackles (
Eric Brady) makes his final Days of our Lives appearance on Monday, July 31st --- at least for now.
Ackles will leave daytime television with the hopes of hitting it big in primetime. Indeed, the young actor has already landed a development deal with ABC set to begin in November. The only problem is that there's currently no show for Ackles to join. If ABC is unable to create a project for Ackles, the actor could very well be left without a job.
During an interview with
Soap Opera Digest, though, Ackles seemed to doubt that his outside ventures would succeed in the long run. "I'm a little skeptical [about my chance]," the actor told the publication. "I'm telling people, 'Don't count me out; I might be back soon!'"
