Nicole Marone (daughter; with Bridget; born 2006; stillborn)
Jack Hamilton Marone (son; with Taylor) (biological mother is Brooke)
Nick legally adopted Hope Logan in 2004, but that storyline was later scrapped.
Dominick was introduced when he wound up in a hospital being cared for by Bridget Forrester. When his mother Jackie showed up, she took his Marone ring and hid it before anyone could see. Within a short period of time, she admitted to Massimo that Nick was his son, and Nick soon embraced his family with open arms, even welcoming his new half-brother Ridge. Unfortunately, this caused some problems with Nick's romance with Brooke, as she was shocked to realize she was dating another Forrester brother. As time went on, Brooke got back together with Ridge, and Nick pined in silence for the woman of his dreams. When Ridge was presumed dead, Brooke and Nick found comfort in each other's arms. When Ridge came back from the dead, Nick and Brooke decided no one ever needed to know, but when Brooke turned up pregnant, the secret could not be hidden, especially when paternity tests determined Nick was the father. After Brooke and Ridge's marriage was annulled, Nick began looking forward to a life with his son with Brooke. He proposed to Brooke, and although he initially wanted to call off the engagement after learning that his family had pressured her, he did decide to go through with it.
Nick and Brooke were in the process of saying their 'I do's when Ridge burst in and interrupted the ceremony. Nick and Massimo were carted off to jail (the charges were dropped), and by the time Nick was able to see Brooke again, she had already decided her place was with Ridge. After Jackie told Nick that there was a potential problem with the DNA test results, Nick insisted on having them re-run, and the new test results proved Ridge to be the father. Nick was devastated and retreated into himself for awhile, unable to stop loving Brooke, but knowing they weren't meant to be together. Nick had a brief relationship with Felicia Forrester, which helped him get over Brooke, but the two just weren't meant to be, and she left town. He was intrigued when Brooke's daughter Bridget appeared on the scene, and initially the two were just friends; he trying to help her forget Ridge, she helping him forget Brooke. It wasn't long before it turned romantic, and the two fell in love. Nick finally proposed to Bridget, but their wedding day was interrupted by the appearance of Ridge's long-thought dead wife, Taylor.
Nick finally accepted that he had never truly forgotten Brooke, but there was a complication -- Bridget was pregnant. When Bridget told Nick she had an abortion, he and Brooke felt they finally had the green light to go ahead and plan their future together, but before they could tell Bridget the truth, she admitted that she had lied about having the abortion to test Nick, and she was still pregnant. Nick and Brooke still loved each other and wanted to be together, but finally agreed that the most important thing was Bridget and the baby she was carrying. Just as Bridget and Nick were starting to get smoothly back into the groove, Felicia returned to town with a shock -- she had given birth to Nick's son, Dominick Jr., while in Europe. It wasn't long before she also revealed that the cancer had come back and she was going to die, and asked Bridget and Nick to look after Dominick once she was gone.
Nick was on top of the world -- Bridget was expecting their daughter, and Felicia had given him a beautiful son. While having a romantic dinner together, Bridget went into early labor, and Nick wasn't there when she gave birth to their baby daughter, who tragically was stillborn. Both Nick and Bridget were devastated by their loss. Once they returned home, Bridget again offered to let Nick go, but Nick convinced her that no matter what, he still loved her and wanted her.
