Brief Character History
Abby was born on the day that her mother was to marry Brad Carlton. Brad and Ashley were thrilled with the healthy little girl, and were devoted to her. Ashley had refused to name Abby's father initially, finally claiming it was her friend Christian. Brad adopted her when she was just a baby, and until Abby learned the truth, that Victor Newman was her biological father, she believed Brad to be her father. Abby soon formed a strong bond with Victor, although it didn't lessen her bond with Brad. Although Brad initially won custody of Abby, he returned her to Ashley, who took Abby with her when she left Genoa City to work in Hong Kong. Abby later returned to the United States with her mother, and although she continues to see Brad from time to time, she makes her home in Los Angeles with her mother, and is looking forward to Ashley's upcoming wedding to Ridge Forrester.
