Amber was at Stephanie's sipping coffee when Bridget walked in. Bridget thought that Amber was still upset about Deacon and Macy's marriage and tried to cheer her up by saying that Little Eric would be home with her and Rick soon. Amber told Bridget about Rick asking for a divorce so he could have a better chance of adopting Little Eric. Bridget didn't believe that her brother would do such a thing. She tried to convince Amber that Rick panicked and he would probably change his mind. Amber wasn't so sure.

In Brooke's office. Stephanie, Brooke, Rick and the lawyer discussed Rick's decision. Rick's justification for the divorce was that he's trying to keep his family together and once the adoption was finalized he and Amber would get remarried. Stephanie told Rick that he should not be so sure that Amber would take him back. Stephanie tried to get Rick to see that his reasoning was flawed and that he couldn't keep his family together if him and Amber were no longer married. The lawyer said that the judge would look on the Forrester's with favor since Brooke had given Little Eric 2 percent of the company. After hearing that Stephanie looked very thoughtful.

Over at Marone industries: Ridge, Nick and Massimo are in his office. Massimo made it clear to his son's that he did not want Brooke within a zip code of his wedding. Sam walked in reporting to work. Massimo explained that he hired her to be the interior designer for the house that he bought Jackie.

Rick went to see Amber: She thought that he had changed his mind about the divorce and rambled on about how they were a great family and that Little Eric needed both of them. Rick handed the Amber the divorce papers and told her to sign them.

Alone in Massimo's office Nick alluded to Sam that Ridge wanted to ask her to the wedding but he was too shy to do it. When Massimo and Ridge returned Sam ran over to Ridge threw her arms around him and told him that she would love to go to the wedding with him.

Alone in Brooke's office Stephanie is thinking about the 2 percent that Brooke signed over to Little Eric. And what it could possibly mean for her family. Stephanie made a phone call to Deacon on his cell phone but Deacon was on his honeymoon and did not want to be bothered he hung up on her. Stephanie then placed a call and had the jet refueled she is on her way to talk to Deacon.

Rick gives Amber divorce papers telling her the sooner they divorce, the sooner they can get Little Eric back. They gave a terrible argument. Amber doesn't think Rick has tried to find another way around their problem. Rick says he doesn't want to lose against Deacon and Macy, and if Amber is the obstacle to him winning, then the divorce makes sense. Amber is really upset that Rick did not include her in his decision to divorce her and remove her from their child's life. Amber says Rick only sees her as a liability. He is not thinking clearly. Rick can't dispute Amber's claims.

Brooke and Eric disagree over a direction that Eric wants to take the company with new designs. Brooke says what Eric wants to do will be their most expensive collection. Eric accuses Brooke of thinking like an accountant. She says she is thinking like a CEO and she won't approve his designs so he'll have to change his plans.

Stephanie is on a plane to with her lawyer en route to the location where Deacon and Macy are honeymooning. They discuss Brooke's latest faux pas. The attorney verifies exactly what Stephanie thought when she reserved the plane. Brooke gave Little Eric 2 per cent of her shares of Forrester stock. At the time, she believed that Rick and Amber would be adopting the child and since he is a minor, his parents would vote his shares. Brooke already had Rick and Amber's voting proxy, which gave her 51 per cent of the voting power. Now that Deacon is back in his son's life and Rick and Amber have not completed the adoption, Deacon has the right to vote the child's 2 per cent, and thus controls the future of any voting decisions. By giving away the 2 per cent to Little Eric, Brooke only has 49 per cent. Stephanie's plan is to make a deal with Deacon so that he will give Little Eric's 2 per cent to her and the Forrester's would then have control of the company back. Brooke would no longer control the company. Jonathan cautions Stephanie that she shouldn't tell Deacon about the power he holds. Stephanie realizes the danger but says she has to take the chance in order to try to get the company back for Eric.

Nick ties to make a date between Sam and Ridge, but she's to cleaver to fall into his trap. She goes so far to say that Nick doesn't strike her as the match making type and if he is trying to set her up with Ridge, there must be something in it for him. Sam and Brooke finally meet when Brooke goes to Ridge's office and Sam is there.

   WEDNESDAY       AUGUST      20TH
   COURTESY      ANNA

Brooke informs Samantha that Stephanie is only using Samantha to get back at Brooke. Sam defends herself by saying she is only in town on business, redecorating a house for Massimo and his fiance. Brooke tells her that Massimo and Stephanie must be working together. Sam accuses Brooke of being paranoid. Ridge and Nick enter the office. Ridge confirms to Sam Brooke's suspicion that Massimo and Stephanie are playing matchmaker. Sam wonders out loud whom Brooke will be going with to Massimo's wedding. Ridge agrees; he'd like to know, too. Nick says the hard part will be getting Brooke in, since she has been banned from attending the wedding.

Thorne enters Eric's office to find him upset. Eric tells his son that Brooke vetoed the entire collection he has been working on for months. Thorne wonders what Stephanie said about Brooke's decision. Eric tells him that Stephanie said it would all be over soon. Thorne tells Eric that he'll talk to Brooke and Eric should call Stephanie. Eric doesn't want to talk to Stephanie.

In Mexico, Macy lets Stephanie in. Stephanie informs Deacon that he now has votes on the Forrester board. She begs him to help her get Brooke removed as CEO. Deacon is very upset that she has asked for his help when he knows that she doesn't care about him, only about helping herself. Stephanie tells him that this is not about her, it is about Eric, who has suffered for many years under Brooke's control. Deacon is concerned that helping to throw Brooke out of command would make him look greedy and selfish, then making him lose his son in court. Macy tells Deacon that the two of them have been so lucky, they can afford to be generous and help Stephanie. Macy tells him that she remembers how upset Eric was when Brooke took over the company he had built. Stephanie asks them to come back with her on the plane. Deacon asks her to leave while he speaks with Macy alone. When Stephanie leaves to wait for them on the plane, Deacon tells Macy that he doesn't want anything to do with the Forresters. Macy insists that it is not about revenge, but about justice.

Stephanie speaks with lawyer Jonathon on the plane. Macy, Deacon and Little Eric arrive. Macy tells Stephanie that they will go to her board meeting. It is time that Brooke finally gets what's coming to her.

   THURSDAY     AUGUST      21ST

At Forrester Creations, Stephanie informed Ridge and Thorne that they have the potential to re-gain control of Forrester Creations. Ridge and Thorne were surprised that Deacon, not Rick, has Little Eric's voting rights on the Forrester board. Initially, Ridge was reluctant to go along with Stephanie's plan. Ridge's reason for the reluctance was that he plans to marry Brooke. Stephanie pointed out that she could never make Ridge Eric's son again, however, she can return control of Forrester Creations to him. Thorne was skeptical that Deacon would actually vote against Brooke. Stephanie reminded Thorne that Macy has given Deacon motivation to vote against Brooke.

At the Insomnia Café, Macy had a chance encounter with Brooke. Macy confronted Brooke about all the marriages she had ruined including Macy and Thorne's. Macy berated Brooke for the threat she laid on Macy on Macy's wedding day. Brooke had threatened to ruin Macy and Deacon's marriage. Brooke arrogantly boasted that she is a winner and Macy is a loser. Macy warned Brooke that it would not take much to take her down. Brooke was curious about what Macy had said, but had no idea she was referring to the fact that Deacon now had voting rights on the Forrester board.

At home, Deacon was angry with Brooke for having insulted Macy that he did not want to vote in favor of the Forrester's regaining control of Forrester Creations. Deacon observed that Macy replaced her addition to alcohol with that of getting revenge against Brooke. Macy managed to convince Deacon that his voting in favor of the Forrester's would be the right thing for him to do.

At Forrester Creations, Brooke told Stephanie that she was justified to not approve Eric's new designs because they would not make money for the company. Stephanie warned she would never deny Eric again. Brooke told Stephanie the point is mute anyway, because she won the battle between them. Brooke bragged to Stephanie that she has Ridge, she had children with Eric, and she controls Forrester Creations. When Brooke left, Stephanie just wished for the board meeting sooner so she could take Forrester Creations away from Brooke once and for all!

   FRIDAY     AUGUST      22ND
   COURTESY      BANAVAS

On the day of the board meeting, Deacon and Ridge have mixed emotions about how they should vote. Ridge is worried about how Brooke will react if he votes against her, but for his father to be reinstated as the CEO of Forrester Creations. Deacon also is nervous about Brooke's reaction. Although he says he doesn't want to do anything that will create more problems between him and Brooke, as far as his daughter Hope is concerned. He does, still have feelings for Brooke as he flashes back to before the baby was born. As badly as Macy wants to see the look on Brooke's face when she is stripped of her power at Forrester, Macy tells Deacon that ultimately he is the one who has to vote Little Eric's stock and he must do what he thinks is right. Even Sally agrees that the best thing for the company will be to see Eric back in charge.

Brooke is furious with Stephanie for calling a meeting that she says is a waste of everyone's time. She defends the position she took when she originally denied Eric the right to go ahead with his newest designs. Brooke says she has always done right by the company, and it is her job to watch the bottom line. For the sake of speeding things up and terminating the unnecessary meeting, Brooke retracts her earlier denial and agrees to let Eric move ahead with production of the new line. Brooke thinks that is the reason Stephanie called the meeting and now they can all get back to work.

Stephanie says that she wants a vote to reinstate Eric. Brooke asks why she would call for a vote that Stephanie can't win. Stephanie demands the vote, citing her rights according to the board by-laws. Everyone casts his/her votes. Stephanie says that she has learned Brooke has disbursed stock to Hope and Little Eric. Brooke says she can do whatever she wants to do with her stock. Stephanie wants the minor children's votes to be counted into the record. In frustration, Brooke votes for Hope. Rick says he will vote for Little Eric. Stephanie says Rick cannot vote for Little Eric – only his legal guardian. Having said that, Stephanie opens the door to the boardroom and in walks Macy and Deacon. Brooke and Deacon take a good look at the expressions of total shock on the faces of Rick and Brooke.
