January 2005 Lamas Out as ATWT Recasts Rafael After less than three months as a member of the As the World Turns cast, soapcentral.com has learned that newcomer AJ Lamas (Rafael Ortega) has been let go. The role will be recast. Lamas is the son of Lorenzo Lamas (Hector Ramirez, The Bold and the Beautiful).

February 2005 Penny downgraded to recurring status Another high-profile star has been released from their contract with The Bold and the Beautiful. soapcentral.com has learned that Former All My Children star Sydney Penny (Samantha Kelly) has been bumped to recurring status.

March 2005 Wagners headed back to divorce court Attempts to avert divorce have apparently failed and veteran soap actors Jack Wagner (Nick Marone, The Bold and the Beautiful) and Kristina Wagner (Felicia Jones, General Hospital) are once again headed to divorce court.

March 2005 Buxton's B&B run cut short In a surprising move, Sarah Buxton (Morgan DeWitt) will be exiting The Bold and the Beautiful next month. The news to write out Buxton comes as fan reaction to her character's return was less than overwhelming.

April 2005 B&B marks its 18th Anniversary The Bold and the Beautiful celebrated its 18th anniversary on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2005. The special occasion was marked with an announcement by CBS Television that the soap had been renewed by the network for another five years.

April 2005 Eakes possibly mulling an AMC exit There are industry rumblings that All My Children star Bobbie Eakes (Krystal Carey) is mulling an exit from the show. Though no one is speaking on the record, a show insider tells Soap Opera Central that the actress might seriously be considering a return to a former daytime gig.

April 2005 Legendary William J Bell dead at age 78 William J. Bell, the legendary and Emmy Award-winning daytime drama creator, died April 29, 2005 at the age of 78 of complications from Alzheimer's Disease.

May 2005 Sydney Penny to return to AMC Sydney Penny (Julia Santos) has signed a deal that will bring her back to ABC's All My Children this summer.

May 2005 Antonio Sabato Jr. joins B&B cast Antonio Sabato Jr., who played Jagger Cates on ABC's General Hospital and also earned fame as a model for Calvin Klein, will join the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful later this spring. Exactly who he will play on B&B is still a bit of a mystery.

May 2005 Adrienne Frantz to rock out of B&B Call her a rolling stone: Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore) has confirmed to soapcentral.com that she will be exiting her Emmy-winning role on The Bold and the Beautiful later this year.

July 2005 Y&R confirms return of Kimberlin Brown It's official - Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter) will be reprising her Emmy-nominated role on The Young and the Restless. The actress heads back to Genoa City later this summer. Brown has also played the wicked Sheila on The Bold and the Beautiful.

July 2005 Gaskill joining ATWT in yet-unnamed role Soap opera veteran Brian Gaskill will join the cast of As the World Turns later this summer. Gaskill appeared as Bobby Warner on All My Children and as Oscar Marone on The Bold and the Beautiful.

August 2005 Ewell's contract not renewed Another relatively new face on The Bold and the Beautiful will no longer be seen. Newcomer Kayla Ewell's (Caitlin Ross) contract with the show was not renewed.

September 2005 Gaskill's character gets name, debut As previously reported by soapcentral.com, former B&B star Brian Gaskill will join the cast of As the World Turns later this month. Until just recently, the character did not have a name and a first airdate was not available.

October 2005 No Y&R -- or B&B -- for Frantz There appears to be no truth to the rumor making the rounds that Emmy winner Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore) will be joining the cast of The Young and the Restless later this year.

November 2005 No more work for B&B's Workman Just seven months after joining the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful, Shanelle Workman (Gabriela Moreno) finds herself without a job. The CBS soap has released the actress from her contract. Workman appeared previously as Sarah Roberts on One Life to Live.

November 2005 Emmy winner Lesli Kay joins B&B Emmy-winning soap opera veteran Lesli Kay (ex-Molly Conlan McKinnon) will join the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful at the end of November in the role of Felicia Forrester. This will be the actress' third soap role since the summer of 2004.

November 2005 Hunter, Michael Tylo ending 18 Years of marriage After 18 years of marriage, Hunter Tylo (Taylor Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful) and her husband Michael Tylo (ex-Quinton Chamberlain, Guiding Light) have decided to separate. According to Hunter Tylo, the split was a mutual decision.

November 2005 B&B twins downgraded to recurring A spokesperson for The Bold and the Beautiful confirms to soapcentral.com that twin actresses Addison and Alex Hoover (Phoebe and Steffy Forrester) have been taken off contract with the show.

November 2005 Winsor Harmon to remain on B&B Winsor Harmon (Thorne Forrester) has signed a new contract with The Bold and the Beautiful. The terms of the deal were not made available. Harmon made his soap debut as Del Henry on All My Children.
