Georgia Tucker, said aboard the Valetta on August 10, 1998, when she almost died in the explosion set off by David Stenbeck, and she was addressing something her mom, Samantha Markham Anderson (who didn't know Georgia was her biological daughter yet), said to her earlier:
"That's right, Sammy. I am your baby girl."
Brief Character History
Growing up, the only family Georgia knew was her grandmother. Though she had a nice childhood, she didn't have the family life she craved and knows how lucky she is to have it now. Though she comes across as being tough, Georgia is essentially a very sweet forgiving person who doesn't want to see those she loves get hurt.
Georgia Tucker came to Oakdale to find the mother that abandoned her when she was born. The first person she met upon arriving was Eddie Silva who helped her in her search. It turned out that Georgia's mother was Samantha Markham Anderson, the sister of the very rich Lucinda Walsh. Georgia was welcomed into the Walsh family with open arms, but unfortunately, her mother disappeared soon after. Georgia now believes her mother abandoned her a second time.
Of great comfort during this period was her best friend, Eddie Silva. Not only did he help her with her family problems, but he also helped her when she was admitted to the hospital with heart problems Soon the two fell in love ; however that all changed when Eddie learned that she kept the identity of his father from him. Georgia currently is hoping that Eddie will forgive her.
Georgia was desperate to get Eddie to forgive her for keeping his father's identity a secret, and confronted Alec about his plans to leave town with Eddie. Upon arriving at Alec's room, she saw Margo unconscious, and certain that Alec killed her, she started to call 911. Alec confronted her, though and pulled a gun. There was a struggle and Alec was killed. Georgia then panicked and buried all evidence of her being in the room and kept silent. After Margo was convicted of the crime, Georgia went to Alec's cabin to kill herself. Luckily Eddie found her and offered to leave town with her. However, Georgia decided to do the right thing and turned herself into the police. Alec's death was ruled an accident and Georgia and Eddie left for parts unknown after a simple wedding ceremony arranged by Margo and the extended Hughes family.
