Jon Prescott made his debut on ATWT as Mike Kasnoff on April 2, 2008. After graduating from Emerson College in 2003, Jon moved to Los Angeles where he studied at Playhouse West. Within a few years, he was doing television work. Jon has guest starred on Watch over Me, CSI: NY, Las Vegas, and Hot Properties. He also appeared in the films The Holiday and Careless. Jon also was the host of Outdoor Investigations on the Outdoor Life Network, a series that focused on investigating bioenvironmental catastrophes and extreme sports tragedies. Jon's duties as host took him to a variety of locations such as Brazil and the Artic Sea.
Jon grew up in Portland, Oregon where he developed a love of nature. Jon enjoys whitewater kayaking, mountain climbing, skiing, and rock climbing. Some of the highlights of Jon's life include reaching the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro with his dad in 2006, going for a polar bear swim in the Artic Sea, and completing several marathons.
Jon is very conscientious of the environment and briefly worked for BP about LEED certified architecture and carbon neutrality. By coincidence, Jon's character on ATWT has a job that concerns sustainable, clean green living. After getting hired at ATWT, Jon made the move from Los Angeles to New York where he currently lives.
