Lucinda looses trust of stockholders when she has another seizure this time from candy.

Tom and Margo find out Lien has a potentially fatal disease due to prolonged exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. Ben and Lien agree to date however Lien doesn't want Ben to be her doctor then. So Ben and John agree to work together without Lien knowing. While mourning the loss of Damian, Luke and Holden, Lily is faced with a possible hostile takeover of Worldwide and decides to let Tom draw up proxy papers for Rose to handle the business. Barbara finds Craig kissing Carly which comes after he lies to Barbara about fashion designs.

Craig's financial situation continued to take a turn for the worse. Jake and Simon paired up on a new investigation. Julia slashed her wrists in a desperate attempt to win back Jack. Emily decides to step in and help Adam and Jen deal with Barbara's condition. Katie wants to play games with Cooley but he is less than receptive; He only wants one thing from Katie and she doesn't want any parts of it.

Tom administers the alternative (unapproved) drug to Lien. Lien winds up making a complete recovery. Hal believes that Craig didn't set the explosion---until his fingerprints are found at the scene. Emily's not so sure and convinces Hal to keep an open mind. Simon heads for the island to rescue a marooned Katie. He succeeds in making it to the island but there's no room for Henry on plane; plus Katie refuses to leave until she finds the lost diamond. Katie ends up leaving with Simon, while Henry winds up finding the diamond. Craig discovers that all of his assets have been frozen-he can't repay the money he took form Bryant's trust fund. Lily, convinced Holden and Luke are alive, decides to go to Malta to find them. She's encouraged when she receives a package containing a bottle with Holden and Luke's handwritten note. Craig offers Carly a job at BRO.

Jake and Molly try to get Margo to get to the bottom of the person obsessed with her past. Katie gets arrested while Lily and Simon trust no one and Luke fakes ill in order to stay with Holden.

Barbara was devastated when she was given a mirror and allowed to view the damage done to her face. Paul coerced her into fingering Craig as the one who'd caused the explosion. A masked person tried to smother Barbara with a pillow. Sierra made love to Craig and later offered to be his alibi for the time of Barbara's second attack. Emily nosed around for records that might have shown who created the bomb, but was nearly attacked by a mystery person. Holden and Luke escaped their captors and hid in a bell tower. Damian's half-brother, Dante, tried to strangle Lily.

Damian sent Luke's passport to Lily along with a note asking that she meet him. Bryant asked Jennifer to move in with him. Ben asked Lien to marry him. After some hesitation, she accepted, even though Tom was concerned. Rose showed Paul photos of Craig and Carly kissing on Craig and Barbara's wedding day. Craig attempted to convince Carly that she needs to be cagey and vague with her responses when on the witness stand. Emily was nearly attacked by a masked intruder. Hal came to her rescue and asked that she stay with him.

While on the witness stand, Barbara became frazzled and revealed the damage done to her face beneath the bandages. Craig demanded that Cass back off of Barbara. Paul had the picture of Carly and Craig kissing shown to Barbara. Molly found out that her ex-boyfriend, Nick Scudder, was now working at WOAK. Dante gave Lily a one-week deadline to find Damian. Lien leaves for Washington, thereby turning down Ben's proposal.

Photos of Craig and Carly's kiss were shown in court. A furious Jack called off his relationship with Carly. Carly was arrested as an accessory to the boathouse explosion. Craig took the stand and denied having caused the explosion. Lucinda and Sierra agreed to call a truce for Bryant's sake. Molly's old boyfriend, Nick Scudder, showed up in town at around the same time someone started stalking Molly. Hal and Emily found a shrine to Julia in Owen's house. Emily coaxed Owen into going to court, where he testified that he and Julia had set the bomb for Carly and Jack - not Barbara. Julia slipped out of the sanitarium and kidnapped Carly.

Jack showed up just in the nick of time and rescued a sinking Carly from the quicksand. Julia was carted back off to the hospital. Craig professed his love for Carly, but Carly rebuked his advances. Barbara was not pleased to learn that Paul had sent flowers to Rose. Bonnie McKechnie showed up in town, but her credit was cut off and Duncan and Jessica told her that she'd have to get a job like "regular people." Simon and Katie were forced to leave Malta, but Simon remained behind to help Lily.

Simon and Katie begin to face the reality of being married to each other, with some humorous results. Paul and Carly agree to hire Jen to model for BRO, but only after they tell her the truth. The "real" Nick Scudder begins to show himself. Rose faces off with Barbara and then makes another date with Paul for a night at the Lakeview. Jennifer gives Bryant's trust fund money back to Barbara. Barbara visits Craig to gloat about having the trust fund. The sample dress designed by Carly is left in the gazebo by James so that Barbara will find it.

Barbara returns to the fashion show. Rose is so angry with Paul she breaks up with him. Both Jack and Craig pressure Paul to tell the media that the new designs are Carly's creations rather than Barbara's. Craig catches Barbara going through the dresses backstage. Isaac gives Bonnie a bouquet and tells her she's terrific. Barbara returns with the intention of destroying Carly's designs, but Jennifer interrupts her. Abigail catches Adam in a compromising position. When Jen goes onstage, she warns Paul and Jack that Barbara is backstage. Abigail is very hurt when she realizes Adam had sex with Brandy. Adam lashes out at Abigail and blames Nick for all their problems. Barbara tries to attack Carly with scissors, but Jack comes to her rescue. A reporter crashes the scene, so Paul decides to give Carly the credit she deserves. Rose forgives Paul by giving him a kiss and offering to repair the damaged dresses. Carly is a great success and very tactfully handles questions from the press about Barbara. Brandy meets Nick at Java to get paid for causing trouble between Abigail and Adam. Barbara refuses to press charges against James, so he is released. Barbara tries to reconcile with Hal, but he chooses Emily. Bonnie and Isaac argue after she runs into two of her snobbish friends. Billy and Jen make a date, but she wants to drop by the BRO party first. Paul offers Jen a five-year contract with BRO. She gets angry with Paul for his lack of concern about Barbara and winds up making Billy angry, so he leaves the party without her. Rose consoles Paul and they grow closer. Jack tells Margo he is okay about Carly being with Craig. Carly gives in to her attraction to Craig. James offers Barbara his support when she has no one else to turn to.

Hal asks Emily to move in with him and she says yes. Craig wakes up in bed with Carly and tells her he thinks she loves him. Paul asks Rose to move to New York, but she tells him he only wants to move to avoid facing his problems with his mother. Barbara is infuriated by the fabulous reviews of the fashion show and plots revenge against Carly, Emily, and Rose. Jennifer gets an offer to do some photo shoots in Europe, which makes Billy unhappy. Barbara learns that she will have permanent scars from the boathouse accident. Paul and Rose tell Barbara they plan to live together. Barbara and James begin to plot against Rose, Emily, and Carly. Rose tells Paul she is not ready for them to move in together. Lily finds out Rose is looking for a place to live and gives her Cal's old place. Simon asks Lily to help him plan Katie's dream wedding. Craig really begins to apply pressure to keep Carly from signing with BRO. Carly tells Paul she will sign with BRO only if Barbara is completely in agreement. Nick pulls Abigail further into his plot by telling her he loves her. Jake finds out some damaging information about Nick as Molly vows to stop Nick at any cost. Molly tries to tell Abigail the truth about Nick, but she refuses to listen. Tom continues to find fault with Emily and questions her ability to parent Daniel. Molly calls Holden for help as Abigail runs to Nick for comfort. Tom threatens to sue for full custody of Daniel if Emily moves in with Hal.

Molly threatens to kill Nick if he refuses to stay away from Abigail. Kim fires Nick after hearing Molly's story. Carly goes to Jack for help in making a decision about a job offer in Paris. Adam sees Brandy speaking with Nick and figures out that Nick used her to set him up and ruin his relationship with Abigail. Jack helps Carly decide to take the design job in Paris. Carly tells Craig he cannot go with her to live in Paris, but later changes her mind. Abigail refuses to believe anything negative about Nick. Simon continues to plan Katie's "dream" wedding. A man from Rose's past sends her flowers, causing Paul to feel threatened.

Adam and Billy team up to get the truth about Nick. Simon and Katie renew their wedding vows. Jack and Carly finally express their real feelings to each other. Carly decides she doesn't want Craig to go to Paris with her. When Craig refuses to take no for an answer, Carly tells him that she will not be returning from Paris to a relationship with him. The animosity between Tom and Emily over Daniel escalates and Tom again threatens Emily with a change of custody suit. When Daniel mysteriously disappears from Al's and reappears on the steps of the police station, Tom takes action. Vince O'Malley's attentions to Rose really begin to take a toll on her relationship with Paul. A chauffeur picks Carly up at the airport and takes her out of Paris, just as James promises Barbara that Carly is no longer a threat to her.

Paul believed that Rose was carrying on with Vince after finding Vince's room set up for a night of romance. Rose confronted Barbara, accusing her of setting her up. Sierra denied Lucy's request to stay in Oakdale and blamed Craig for trying to use his daughter as a tool to get over Bryant's death. Lucy canceled her school registration. Tom and Margo accused Emily of kidnapping Daniel, a charge Emily denied. Later, two tickets to Mexico were found in Emily's house. A mysterious caller promised to help Emily find out who had taken her son.

Nick demands $500,000 from Molly and Jake to leave Abigail alone and tells Molly if she doesn't pay him, he will take Abigail out of town and ruin her life. Bonnie is very negative about a Christmas gift, not knowing that Isaac gave it to her. Adam has a heart-to-heart talk with Abigail, causing her to have second thoughts about leaving town with Nick. Simon tells Katie she has trouble keeping a job, which she takes as a personal challenge. Lily agrees to pretend to be Rose so that Rose can meet "Vince" as Al's, but Paul immediately knows it is Lily. Rose enlists Lucinda's help in finding out who is trying to cause trouble. Hal has Emily's note examined by forensics experts and the results make him more suspicious than ever that Emily did not leave of her own free will. Jack and Parker go to the airport to meet Carly's plane, but she is a no-show. Rose recognizes James Stenbeck at Al's and realizes he is behind the "Vince O'Malley" scam, but James succeeds in kidnapping her anyway.

After Abigail discovers a music box in Nick's room, they have an argument, which ends when he hits her. Paul finds the letters James left behind at Rose's and refuses to believe Lily's explanations defending Rose. Lily goes to Simon asking for help finding Rose. Abigail wakes up in Jake and Molly's apartment with no memory of what happened after Nick hit her. Molly arrives at Nick's to find him dead and tells the police she killed Nick in self-defense. Bonnie and Isaac share a passionate kiss while dancing. Lucy manipulates Sierra and Craig into allowing her to stay in Oakdale. Hal and Jack begin to suspect that Carly and Emily are in grave danger. Lucinda and Lily eventually realize James is behind Rose's problems.
