Eileen Herlie joined the cast of All My Children in 1976 .
Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, Herlie worked for the Scottish National Theatre and in the English theater. Among her first hit plays on the London stage was Jean Cocteau's "The Eagle Has Two Heads."
Herlie then hit Broadway, starring opposite Richard Burton in Hamley. She later also worked with Sir Laurence Olivier. Other stage credits include The Matchmaker, All American and Crown Matrimonial.
On the big screen, Herlie has appearedon Freud and Sidney Lumet's The Seagull.
