All My Children fans may want to scream and shout in excitement, because Shudder will soon be streaming The Taking of Deborah Logan, a 2014 film starring Jill Larson (ex-Opal Cortlandt).

Fall is in the air, and that means it's time to start scheduling in some nice, scary movies to go along with the chilly air and darker evenings. Luckily for soap opera fans, a streaming service called Shudder is bringing a terrifying 2014 hit to the screen: The Taking of Deborah Logan, which stars All My Children fave Jill Larson (ex-Opal Cortlandt).

Considered one of the scariest "found footage" horror films of all time, The Taking of Deborah Logan follows Mia (Michelle Ang), a student who is making a PhD thesis film on Alzheimer's Disease and starts recording the everyday life of Deborah Logan (Larson) and her daughter, Sarah (Anne Ramsay). Mia and her crew document the physical effects the disease has on Deborah and the emotional and mental toll it takes on Sarah, her primary caregiver. As the days progress, strange things begin to happen around Deborah that are not consistent with any findings about Alzheimer's. Something else has taken control of Deborah's life: an evil that threatens to consume anyone who tries to stop it.

Interestingly enough, Larson had never in her life watched a horror film before she began work on The Taking of Deborah Logan, and the actress -- who starred on AMC from 1989 to 2013 -- relied heavily on director Adam Robitel to get her through filming.

"While we were on location shooting, I thought, 'Well, I should really watch one. I'll try Rosemary's Baby," Larson admits to ihorror. "So, one night after shooting, I pulled it up to watch it and I guess I got about a half hour or so in and when they got down into the basement and those spooks starting coming up, I had to turn it off. I was just like, 'Sorry, can't do this!' [Laughs]... Adam [our director], he took me on anyway, and he was wonderful and he got me through [filming]."

The Taking of Deborah Logan will be available for streaming on Shudder beginning Monday, September 30. Check out a teaser trailer for the scary movie below, and let us know what you think about the film, previously released as VOD, making the rounds once more.
