A new teen hits the Pine Valley scene

It looks like Damon and Colby will have another obstacle in their path to romance. Just in case Liza wasn't enough of a distraction, a newcomer may be poised to turn Colby's head.


Though technically not a teenager, there's a new member of the young adult set headed to Pine Valley. The newcomer will be the second new character created by AMC head writers David Kreizman and Donna Swajeski, is slated to debut later this summer.


Newcomer Trent Garrett has been hired for the contract role of Asher Pike. Asher is expected to figure into storyline with Damon and Colby.


Though his All My Children role will be his first contract role on television, Garrett has made a guest appearance on 90210, the 2009 update of Beverly Hills, 90210. He's also slated to appear in two upcoming films, Last Call and Slightly Single in L.A., both of which are currently in post-production.


Garrett makes his first All My Children appearance on August 13.
