Daytime veteran Lisa de Cozette has re-joined All My Children's production team. Since leaving her post as a coordinating producer for AMC in the 1990s, de Cozette has gone on to oversee production of NBC's Passions and SOAPnet's primetime series, General Hospital: Night Shift.

All My Children appears unwilling to rest after having pulled off a storyline with some of the biggest computer-generated special effects ever seen on daytime television. Fresh from the sweeping tornado storyline, All My Children has announced that it is adding daytime veteran Lisa de Cozette to its production team. The hiring marks a return to Pine Valley for de Cozette, who in 1994 worked as a coordinating producer for All My Children.

An earlier report claiming that All My Children was preparing to groom de Cazotte as its next executive producer was incorrect. Brian Frons, President, Daytime, Disney-ABC Television Group, states that the show's current executive producer, Julie Hanan Carruthers, is not going anywhere.

"There are no plans to end Julie Carruthers' accomplished tenure as executive producer of All My Children," Frons said in a statement to soapcentral.com "The Tornado storyline, which took Pine Valley by storm in October, was head writer Chuck Pratt and Julie's first big joint event for the series and increased ratings nearly 20% in key [demographics]. As Chuck continues to create incredible stories, Julie and her team will continue to enhance his writing with great production value and bring his words to life. Lisa de Cozette has joined the show as a producer to support Julie in this effort."

A long-time daytime veteran, de Cazotte has made quite a name for herself since her last go-around with All My Children. She served as executive producer for the now-cancelled NBC soap, Passions, for eight years. After leaving Passions, de Cozette worked as the executive producer for the second season of SOAPnet's primetime soap, General Hospital: Night Shift. Her past daytime work also included stops as a producer on Santa Barbara and as an Emmy-nominated member of One Life to Live's directing team in 1988.

Julie Hanan Carruthers was appointed to the executive producer position in 2003 after the cancellation of Port Charles, another ABC soap.

"Julie is an incredibly strong, talented and innovative executive producer," Frons said at the time. "Her passion and spirit will be a perfect fit for the ground-breaking hallmark that is All My Children."

In 2004, under Carruthers' leadership, All My Children earned an Outstanding Drama Series nomination at the Daytime Emmys.
