January 2006 Raúl Dávila, AMC's Hector, dead at 74 Raúl Dávila, who appeared as Hector Santos on All My Children in the 1990s, died of a heart attack on January 2nd, 2006. He was 74.

March 2006 ATWT mulling Rosanna recast Rumors are making the rounds that As the World Turns is in the initial stages of recasting the role of Rosanna Cabot. The role was most recently portrayed by Emmy-winning actress Cady McClain (Dixie Martin, All My Children).

March 2006 Is Hughes the next legacy character to return? Rumors persist that Finola Hughes (ex-Anna Devane, All My Children) will be returning to General Hospital later this year. The rumors have been compounded by the show's decision to have Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) return later this month.

March 2006 Another Santos bites the dust Little-seen Natalia Cigliuti (Anita Santos) has been released from her All My Children contract. The news, while disappointing to fans, does not come as a total surprise. The actress' on-screen time has been nearly nonexistent in recent months.

April 2006 Riegel makes another AMC visit Eden Riegel (Bianca Montgomery) will reprise her Emmy-winning role on All My Children this May. The return will mark the third time that Riegel has made a limited-run engagement on the ABC soap since leaving the show in February 2005.

May 2006 Buchanan expected to make dramatic exit It's a well-known fact in the soap opera world: most villains eventually get what's coming to them. While All My Children's Greg Madden dastardly deeds might not put him at the top of the "Pine Valley's worst villains" list, the not-so-good doctor's days in Pine Valley do seem to be coming to an end.

May 2006 James Scott joins DAYS cast Former All My Children star James Scott (ex-Ethan Cambias) will be joining the cast of NBC's Days of our Lives later this month. And while the actor was little-used in his latter days on All My Children, the former model is prepping for a heavy work load on his new show.

May 2006 "SORAS"ed Colby returning to Pine Valley As first reported by soapcentral.com back in February, All My Children execs had an active interest in bringing Colby Chandler, the daughter of Adam Chandler and Liza Colby, back to Pine Valley. After a lengthy search, the show has cast the role and set a first airdate for a much-aged Colby.

May 2006 Lynn asks to be released from AMC Setside sources tell soapcentral.com that Tanisha Lynn (Danielle Frye) will exit the show by the end of the summer. Lynn joined the cast of All My Children in March 2004 and still has the better part of a year remaining in her contract.

May 2006 Jamal Cudahy returning home to Pine Valley As previously reported, Marcus Patrick will be joining the cast in late-June. Initially, Patrick was said to have been cast in the role of Marcus, an "up and coming attorney" who would interact with Erin and Aidan. The role, however, has been changed. Patrick will now tackle the role of Jamal Cudahy, the adopted son of Tom Cudahy and Livia Frye.

May 2006 Report: Turner extends AMC stay Late last year, it was widely hinted that All My Children's resident English heartthrob, Aiden Turner (Aidan Devane), had decided that he would be leaving the show when his contract expired. Now, as the month of May winds down, so too, are the days left in Turner's contract.

June 2006 R&B star Rihanna to sing on AMC Def Jam recording artist Rihanna will guest star on ABC's All My Children this summer. The songstress, whose music meshes dance, pop, reggae and R&B, will be the inaugural act at the new Pine Valley hot spot, ConFusion.

The decision to fire Irizarry may come as a shock to fans, but from a budgetary standpoint the network has been paying the high caliber actor for little on-screen time.

September 2006 AMC newcomer Patrick decides he wants out Another All My Children actor has opted out of the show, but this time the exit was not dictated by storyline or budget cuts. Newcomer Marcus Patrick (Jamal Cudahy) has asked the show to be released from his contact.

The veteran soap star, whose was released by All My Children earlier this fall, will reprise one of the two characters he previously portrayed on the CBS soap.

October 2006 A "deeply saddened" Irizarry comments on his AMC exit Now that he has taped his final All My Children scenes, Vincent Irizarry (David Hayward) is commenting for the first time on his departure from the ABC soap. Irizarry, a member of the AMC cast since 2001, found out earlier this fall that he was being let go.

October 2006 Julia Barr exiting AMC It was just one year ago that All My Children fans were deluged with Internet postings claiming that two-time Emmy winner Julia Barr (Brooke English) would no longer be a part of the AMC cast. The posts turned out to be nothing more than idle speculation. Now, however, comes official word that Barr is indeed leaving the show she has called home for 30 years.

November 2006 AMC Grants Ivens' Request to Leave Though no one at the network is commenting, soapcentral.com has learned that five-year All My Children veteran Terri Ivens (Simone Torres) will exit the show this fall. According to sources, All My Children executives granted the actress' request to be let out of her contract.

Fans may remember Carlson's one-day stint on All My Children earlier this year during which Josh and Babe tried to convince the fictional rock star into appearing in a Fusion advertising campaign. This time around, Zarf's presence will be much more meaningful. In what will be a first for daytime television - or any scripted series on broadcast television - All My Children will reveal that Zarf is a transgender person.

December 2006 Turner inks new AMC contract With a serial killer loose in Pine Valley, many All My Children fans are fearful that some of their underused favorite stars' alter-egos might end up as victims. Fans of at least one star can now breath a sigh of relief: Aiden Turner (Aidan Devane) recently signed a new multi-year contract with AMC.

December 2006 Good news, bad news in Fletcher's exit As previously reported, Connie Fletcher's (Erin Lavery) tenure on All My Children ends next week when her on-screen alter ego is picked off my Pine Valley's serial killer. The exit, which is being called a "mutual decision," comes with an ironic twist of fate: Fletcher had planned to ask to be let out of her contract.

December 2006 Hendrickson nakes short-term AMC return "BAM" fans are in for a treat in the New Year as Elizabeth Hendrickson (Maggie Stone) returns to All My Children for a short-term run. Hendrickson exited All My Children in February 2005 when Maggie and Bianca headed off to Paris to start a new life together.

December 2006 Barr, Brooke to simply vanish from Pine Valley After nearly 30 years with All My Children, Julia Barr (Brooke English) makes her final on-screen appearance this week. With that exit, fans are rounding up the boxes of Kleenex and preparing for a torrent of waterworks as All My Children no doubt prepares for one of those emotional flashback montages.
