Def Jam recording artist Rihanna will guest star on ABC's All My Children this summer. The songstress, whose music meshes dance, pop, reggae and R&B, will be the inaugural act at the new Pine Valley hot spot, ConFusion.

Hailing from the parish of St. Michael, on the Caribbean island of Barbados, 18-year-old Robyn Rihanna Fenty burst onto the music scene in 2005 with the hit single, "Pon De Replay." Her debut album, "
Music of the Sun" was certified platinum. Now Rihanna is back with her second album, "
A Girl Like Me." The lead single "S.O.S.," which samples the 80s song "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell, topped the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year. For the follow-up single, "Unfaithful," Rihanna temporarily stepped off the dance floor to show that she can also sing a powerful R&B ballad. "Unfaithful" is currently in the top ten.
Meanwhile, "S.O.S" was selected as the theme song for Nike's latest marketing campaign for women. Rihanna makes her acting debut in the straight-to-video release, "Bring It On: All Or Nothing."
Rihanna's All My Children appearance is scheduled to air July 25th.
In related news, Grammy Award-winning R&B singer Mary J. Blige will appear on ABC's One Life to Live. Blige will sing two tracks from her record-breaking number one album, "The Breakthrough."
