Logo Rumors Have Duhamel Exiting AMC

by Dan J Kroll

There are rumors abound that two-time Daytime Emmy nominee Josh Duhamel (Leo du Pres) will exit All My Children when his contract expires later this year.

Though unconfirmed by an AMC spokesperson - nor publicly stated by Duhamel or anyone in his camp - some insiders have said it is a "foregone conclusion" that Duhamel will seek out work in feature films.

If Duhamel does want to break free of daytime television, the latest Internet rumors might not be as credible as some would like to believe.

Internet chatter has Duhamel mulling a move to the West Coast where he would assume the role of Ethan Winthrop on Passions. However, Duhamel's AMC contract doesn't expire until much later this year - and Passions' current Ethan, played by Travis Schuldt, will exit much sooner than that.

One Internet rumor that does apparently ring true is a claim that Duhamel has been offered a development deal with a major Hollywood production company. No word on whether the deal would include film or television projects.
