ABC Daytime appoints second head writer

.com, ABC Daytime has made some changes to the All My Children writing staff. Effective March 5th, Michael Conforti will join Jean Passanante as co-head writer.
Mr. Conforti is no stranger to daytime as he has appeared both in front of and behind the camera. Conforti has appeared on such soaps as Love of Live, Edge of Night,
As The World Turns and
Guiding Light.
His writing career began in a writer development program in 1987. Shortly thereafter, in 1988, Conforti found work as a scriptwriter and breakdown writer for
Guiding Light. He was promoted to associate head writer in 1994 and then named co-head writer in 1996. In July 2000, Conforti joined
One Life to Live as an associate head writer.
The decision to add Conforti to the writing team comes less than two weeks after
major changes to the writing staffs at both
One Life to Live and
General Hospital.
