On Friday, December 8th, All My Children taped its 8,000 episode.

The cast and crew were present for a cake created to look like the "AMC Book" seen in the opening credits. Executive producer Jean Dadario Burke and AMC creator Agnes Nixon were among those on hand for the celebration.

After the brief celebration in the Chandler mansion living room, everyone headed back to work. There was, however, a celebration after the taping session at a Manhattan restaurant.

The 8,000th episode will air in January 8th.
