Hayley went to the beach, wallowing in her troubles until Mateo showed up and the two made love. Laura moved into Myrtle's, while Janet stayed in prison unaware of the move. Edmund and Maria continued their search on how to get pregnant. Vivienne realized Taylor faked her pregnancy to be with Derek. Taylor's second pregnancy test was negative.

Noah found out Taylor had a "miscarriage" and decided to take Julia to NYC for a romantic weekend. Brooke ignored Adam's moves on her, saying she liked how things were. After watching the videotape of Arlene and Alec, Hayley told a saddened Mateo that she never loved him and was just using him. Edmund and Maria looked into adoption. After taking one too many pills, Erica collapsed. Stuart tried to fix up Scott with Anita. Anita thought she was too inexperienced for Bobby.

Tad took Erica's place on The Cutting Edge after Erica refused to host the show. Palmer offered Janet a stash of cash to leave Pine Valley. He wasn't too happy about the topic: Marital Infidelity. Opal forgave Palmer and was shocked to see Janet alive. Maria was turned down for an adoption. A young, pregnant Kelsey confronted an oblivious Bobby on how he took her virginity away. After Bianca almost took one of Erica's pills, Erica decided she'd had enough. Pierce took Janet home to the cabin.

Taylor cleared out her desk at the police station.
